Having No Control Over Your Life

It’s already been 10 months since I was “forced” to come back to Korea from Australia because of the most unexpected and terrible epidemic in human history.

If you think about it, it’s really bizarre. I mean, one day something happens and the rest of your life will be affected or determined by what happened that one day.

For example, if you buy this jacket today, and you will wear it for the rest of your life. You meet somebody one day out of the blue and you’ll know their names for the rest of your life. And who knows- you some people end up spending their whole lives together like that. You fall in love with somebody and they leave unforgettable marks in your life then they change who you are permanently.

Having said that, I don’t know if it’s only me, but these thoughts somehow terrify me a bit. Something that’s out of your control happens in your life and that affects the rest of your life?

But maybe it’s not necessarily a bad thing to not have any control over your life as long as you can make the most out of what happens randomly in your life.

Life is certainly not stratified — its continuity is beautiful.
