As a kid, I remember wanting to grow and become an adult as fast as I could, because adults seemed to be able to do everything they wanted in a 5-year-old's eyes.

But, of course, eating more than a bowl of Tteokguk (떡국,traditional Korean rice cake soup) on Seolnal(설날, Lunar New Year) didn’t help me much to grow any faster unlike my belief.

Now that I can call myself a ‘grown-up’ who knows enough that skipping a bowl of Tteokguk wouldn’t keep me from aging, ironically enough, there are some moments when I desperately want to become a kid again who believed in those silly things about Tteokguk.

Well, I guess we all keep wanting something we don’t have. I hope we could all cherish what we will one day miss again.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!🧧I wish you all the best in 2020, the year of the rat.
