A New Adventure — Some Teacher’s Rambling

The beginning of new school year is JUST around the corner. It seems so odd how time goes by, because I feel like it was only yesterday that I met my kids for the first time around this time of the year last summer.

Just like this quote I put in the photo album for my students when they graduated, “Beginnings are usually scary, and endings are usually sad. But it’s everything IN BETWEEN that makes life worth living.”

I admit that I’m quite excited for the new beginning, but also worried at the same time. And that’s completely normal. I just want to remind myself that this new adventure will SURELY be filled with great stories. But by great stories, I don’t mean it’s going to be all rainbows and unicorns. There will be hardships. There will be tears. There will come a time when I feel like giving up on everything. But I should never forget that all the good things WILL come out of the same time period as well. Because there ain’t such thing as a “free growth” and “free happiness.” It’s only fair that we experience several types of events and people through life which include both “good ones” and “bad ones.” I believe “a fully-lived life” is only possible by embracing whatever comes my way and trying my very best to learn from it. So, are we ready for the ride? Let’s go!
